Welcome | Bienvenido | Imaynalla | ã‹ã‚“ã’ã„ | Aloha | Willkommen
My name is Ariel Chavez, I’m originally from La Paz, Bolivia, a unique city in a beautifully diverse country. In March of 2002, as a young college student, I was given the opportunity of a lifetime. I got accepted into the Civil Engineering program at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. My parents knew that since very young, studying abroad was one of my most cherished dreams. So I packed all my dreams and some of my most valuable belongings in a small suitcase and a crimson backpack to undertake my journey in Alabama and start working towards my American Dream.
Since little I had the travel bug inside me and after an eye opening experience during my first trip overseas at 17, I promised myself to do my best to visit at least one new country every year. Luckily I have been able to keep up with this challenge as I have visited over 30 countries since. Some friends call me world traveler, of course everything is relative, but I have found a word - loaned from German - that better describes my feelings… wanderlust.
So for the past 14 years I have enjoyed the Southern hospitality and have made Mobile my new home. I have learned valuable lessons in classrooms and everyday life, including a bachelors and a masters in engineering and more than eight years of experience in an engineering firm. Once again in my pursuit of happiness, I decided to take a break from my engineering career, and I’m now striving towards entrepreneurship in the industry I enjoy the most and feel greatest passion for… travel.
The transition began in September 2013, when another long treasured dream turned into an around the United States adventure. Embarked on my faithful 4-wheeled companion, named Silver Arrow after our visit to the Pueblos in New Mexico, I drove around this vast and beautiful country for about 3 months, the adventure covered over 15,000 miles of mostly 2-lane quaint roads in 41 states, it was simply amazing!
After coming back home, I started working on this endeavor that today is a reality. Touched by many of the new and beautiful places discovered during my adventure, as well as some inspiring events in US history, such as the Meriwether Lewis and William Clark expedition, and the very American desire to explore and discover, I named my new endeavor New Frontier Travel. A full-service travel agency created from dreams and now ready to make more of those a reality.
In order to provide the best quality and services, I have joined Cruise Planners | American Express Travel, as an independently owned and operated local agency. This year the company is celebrating its 22nd anniversary and over this time they have grown and expanded to every single area in the travel industry. Their name and quality are well known and recognized by all major players in the business, and I’m pleased to be the owner of the first local agency to provide their services in Mobile.
On this website, which functions as a full-service travel engine in itself, you can book air tickets, hotels, car rentals, land vacations and cruises, with competitive prices and special deals. Most importantly though, if you are planning a more personalized and unique approach, such as a dream family vacation to your favorite national park, a romantic getaway to the Mediterranean or the Caribbean, an African safari, a friends hiking trip to Machu Picchu or Carnival in Rio, a wonderful river cruise or even a solo trip around the world… please let me know! You can call or email me at anytime for info, brochures, the latest offers or any questions you might have, I’ll always be there to plan together your perfect escape and help you conquer your own new frontier!
Safe & Happy Travels!
Your friend,
Ariel
