Below is a summary of our nine-day itinerary crafted to learn extensively about Leonardo Da Vinci and discover his incredible legacy.

Here is a summary of our customized itinerary:

 

October 11th - Flying to the Old World
Depart from the Mobile Regional Airport in the morning.

 

 


October 12th - Welcome to Milan!
Arrive at the Milan Linate airport. Upon arrival you will be welcomed and accompanied to your hotel. Relax at the hotel or enjoy this cosmopolitan city, the business and fashion capital of Italy that appeals to art and culture lovers alike. Enjoy a welcome dinner featuring a 4 course meal and a glass of wine. 

 


 

October 13th - Milan

After a filling Italian breakfast, meet your local guide at the hotel lobby and make your way to the Duomo di Milano, a magnificent gothic cathedral and the second largest in Italy. Visit Santa Maria delle Grazie and marvel at Leonardo’s famous masterpiece the Last Supper.Lunch at a local restaurant is included. In the afternoon visit Museo Nazionale Scienza, the largest museum of science and technology in Italy and one of the most important ones in Europe, featuring exhibits of Leonardo Da Vinci's works.

 

 

 


October 14th - Milan

Join your local guide on a full-day sightseeing tour in the Lake District. Visit Bellagio, known as the ‘Pearl of Lake Como’ and mesmerize at unmatched views of the Alps. Pretty medieval alleyways ascend from the lake in steep steps and are lined with shops offering exquisite hand- tooled leather accessories. 

 

 


October 15th - Rapallo

Today your private luxury coach and Tour Escort will drive you south to the beautiful Italian Riviera. Once in gracious Rapallo, you will ride on the aerial cableway to Santuario di Montallegro, offering stunning views of the harbor. Then take a scenic boat cruise to unforgettable Portofino and relax at a side-walk cafe.

 

 

 

October 16th - Rapallo

Enjoy a day tour of the Five Lands, Cinque Terre, where natural beauty reigns. Use your Trail & Train Pass to explore these car-free charming villages that have largely escaped modern development. Immerse yourself in the light hiking trails, admire the views and cliffs above the Mediterranean Sea.

 

 


October 17th - Florence

Your visit to picturesque Tuscany begins today. The first stop is the quaint town of Vinci and the farmhouse in Anchiano where Leonardo was born. See the church where he was baptized and the institutions devoted to researching and teaching about Leonardo’s cultural heritage. Visit the Vinci Museo Leonardiano, here animated digital reconstructions and interactive applications will help you better understand how the models work. Savor authentic Italian cuisine at a local restaurant including a wine tour and tasting

 

 


October 18th - Florence

Wonder around beautiful Florence, birthplace of the Renaissance. Join your local guide for a visit to the Galleria dell Accademia, where some of Europe’s most important art is on display not the least of which is Michelangelo's statue of David.

 

 


October 19th - Florence

It’s time to visit Macchine de Leonardo, the world's biggest private collection of Leonardo Da Vinci machines. The members of the Niccolai family have so far developed 150 different models based on the Da Vinci codes and on historical documents. The accuracy of the models has gained international credit and praise. Participate in a unique behind the scenes tour prepared exclusively for members of the Exploreum Travel Adventure Program.

 

 


October 20th - Flying back home

Your Da Vinci adventure ends after breakfast this morning. A local assistant meets you at the hotel lobby and accompanies you to the Florence airport in a luxury private coach. Time to say Arrivederci Bella Italia!
